At LDA, Our simplified forms will help you to input all of the necessary info, which we will then utilize to prepare your court documents and other required forms. We will also file all of your documents with the court clerk. Finally, we will help to arrange the service of the divorce documents to your spouse and we offer all notarizations at no additional cost. In your initial visit to our office, we will gather some personal information. Names, addresses, and dates of marriage and separation are some examples of the necessary information. We will also utilize this time to explore what ultimate outcome you desire from the court in regards to child custody and spousal support.
In our second meeting, you will review and sign your petition and the other required documents. Typically the court fee is collected during this meeting. During this time we will also have the documents served according to your preferred methods.
This part of the process includes figuring out a comprehensive plan for your settlement. Many of our clients already have a clear course set before meeting with us. But, if you are unsure of yours, we can help! We have access to local attorneys, accountants, mediators and other professionals.
The information you provide to us will help direct us on how to complete your matter. One of three situations will occur. Either you will go into a default judgement, an uncontested by agreement or your matter will go contested. We will complete your workbook based on the situation and and prepare your final forms.
Finally, after the agreement is signed by both spouses, we will present the judgement package to the court. The court will review and approve the judgement. Then,
